Its core mission is to drive high‑quality development of Shaanxi’s biomanufacturing industry and lead industrial‑wide technological innovation. Focusing on original indigenous innovation, industry‑academia collaboration and deep linkage with industrial capital, the center addresses bottlenecks restricting the end‑to‑end market translation of R&D outputs and speeds up industrialization for cutting‑edge biotechnologies.
With two dedicated R&D bases in Xi’an and Yangling Demonstration Zone, the center occupies a total R&D space exceeding 5,000 m². It is fitted with more than 150 sets of high‑end research hardware and two standardized pilot production lines. Its technical system spans the whole industrial chain: molecular design, engineered strain construction, fermentation culture, separation and purification, enzyme immobilization, and pilot‑scale production and validation, supporting integrated R&D and large‑scale pilot manufacturing.
Built upon long‑standing in‑depth industry‑academia‑research partnerships with Northwest A&F University, the center’s proprietary Zymagen® molecular enzymes and matching reagent series have been brought to market. It holds a comprehensive portfolio of independent intellectual property rights and delivers proven, high‑efficiency technology deployment and industrial transformation capabilities.
