Recently, Academician Zhu Beiwei from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and her entourage visited the Shaanxi Synthetic Biology Innovation Center for investigation and guidance. They conducted on‑site research and in‑depth exchanges focusing on technological innovation and industrial application in the field of synthetic biology, providing guidance and empowering the center’s scientific research, technology transformation, and industry‑university‑research cooperation. Relevant persons‑in‑charge and key scientific researchers of the center accompanied the inspection and participated in the forum.
During the inspection, Academician Zhu Beiwei successively visited the R&D platform and pilot‑scale platform of the innovation center. She inspected in detail the configuration of scientific research equipment, experimental R&D procedures, and supporting construction for pilot‑scale industrialization of the center. She carefully listened to the work report on the center’s scientific research layout, technology R&D, achievement transformation and platform construction in synthetic biology, and gained an in‑depth understanding of the development status, technical advantages and future plans of the center in biological manufacturing and the industrial implementation of synthetic biology.
