Product Description

DNase I, also known as deoxyribonuclease I, is a Ca2+-dependent endonuclease that is regulated by Mg2+ and Mn2+. It can digest single-stranded or double-stranded DNA, generating single deoxyribonucleotides or single-stranded or double-stranded oligodeoxyribonucleotides. The 5' end of the resulting products is a phosphate group, and the 3' end is an hydroxyl group. It can be used to remove DNA from protein or RNA samples, prepare highly pure DNA-free samples, and generate random DNA fragment libraries.

Product Advantages

  • High activity: The specific activity is usually within the range of 10,000–25,000 U/mg.

  • No RNase residue: It can be used for the processing of various RNA samples.

Product Applications

This product can hydrolyze the phosphodiester bonds in single-stranded or double-stranded DNA, generating oligonucleotide fragments with a 5’-phosphate terminus.

Is the DNase I in this product a recombinant protein and does it contain a tag?

The recombinant protein of this product is tag-free.

The activity of DNase I decreases after repeated use.

Please store it at -20℃. Additionally, DNase I is sensitive to physical denaturation. When using it, please do not shake vigorously.
